Just
a quick update on Bailey and Remington formerly (Boog and Pearl) they are
doing great, we adopted them almost one year ago and they are wonderful dogs.
They have brought another element to our home, we enjoy them each and every
day and are so thankful that we were able to rescue them. Adopting two dogs
was the best thing we ever did, they are always happy and are never lonely,
they have to be touching when they sleep at night it is very cute. Thank you
Rescue for Love for all your hard work and dedication.

Hi,
my name is Carson and I want Kristi to know that she is my very
special guardian angel. Thank you so much for saving me from the shelter,
getting me the medical attention I so desperately needed, and helping me to find
my forever home. It is so good to wake up every morning in a
nice warm home and know that there is good food, plenty of fresh water and lots
of cool toys waiting for me (my favorite is the giggle ball). My new
mom knows what a pup like me loves to have! I especially love my new boy, he is
lots of fun, we wrestle, go for long walks, play ball and sometimes just
snuggle. Life is great. Thank you Rescue for Love!

Mya
has such a wonderful personality and is a very smart girl - she is
learning very quickly! She torments my male, but I think it's good for him. He really does love
her, I know. He is right outside of her crate whenever she is in it
apparently watching her. The cat? Not a great friendship there yet, but I
think it will be fine in time. (Mya is my cat's 5th dog - she adapts)
~ Thanks again, Kelley |

We
first adopted Lulu, after seeing her and Frankie at an adoption clinic in
Brewster. We love everything about her, from her chubbiness to her loving
personality. She brings us so much love and joy everyday! Her and our other
dachshund, Angus, got along very quickly. As a surprise for my mother for
Christmas, my sisters and I secretly adopted Frankie since she had been
talking about wanting to bring Frankie and Lulu together again. Our mother
was ecstatic! Frankie and Lulu are so happy to be together again, they
snuggle and kiss. Each have such different personalities that we love so
much! Lulu is the happy-go-lucky gal, and Frankie is a very serious boy who
knows how to get his way by standing on his hind legs and looking at you with
the cutest face or poking you with his nose. All three dachshunds sleep in
the bed, Lulu burrowing beneath the blankets, Frankie sleeping right next to
the pillows and Angus in the middle. We are so thankful to have Frankie and
Lulu, they bring us a smile everyday. Thank you so much! ~ The Haneman Family

Mimi,
who is part Lab and part Border Collie was adopted from Rescue for Love on
June 16, 2008. She will be a year old at the beginning of February. Mimi was
very nervous when we first got her. She would shake when she would go for a
car ride but she has definitely come a long way. She loves the car now and
always begs to go for a ride. She loves to play with stuffed toys but they
usually last about five minutes before she pulls all the stuffing out of
them. I finally found two great rubber toys that she loves and cannot
destroy. She was afraid of my husband when we first got her and I think she
might have been mistreated in the past by a man because she was leery of all
men. She loves him now and I think he is her favorite playmate. Mimi gives us
so much love everyday. She loves giving the whole family kisses and having
her belly rubbed. She’s great at the dog park and has become best friends
with our neighbor’s dog. They play together just about everyday running
outside having a great time. Mimi is extremely energetic and rarely relaxes.
Were so happy she is part of our family and love her very much. It’s such a
great feeling when we come home and she greets us so happily. Thank you Gina
for all your support and guidance. You guys are all doing a wonderful thing
saving these animals!!!

This is Mayzee (formerly Daze). We adopted her in June 2008. She
is very happy now sharing a house with three cats. She loves her yard
and playing outside. She has many toys that she plays with until she
can't resist anymore and then she removes all the stuffing and shakes them
like crazy. She loves her family and rides in the car and wags her tail
whenever she sees us. She is a rescue from Mississippi and we play the
song Mississippi Queen for her. She loves other dogs and plays with
them. We love her and can't imagine our life without her!

Schroeder is doing great! Sally and
Schroeder have really hit it off. They play a lot each day.
They check each other out, run around chasing and tackling each other.
Last weekend we were at a relatives house where they played with four
kids in the play room for a while, chasing balls then each other.
Sally is very happy with him. We think Schroeder is very
happy to be in our pack. Two weekends ago we were at an agility trial
near Manchester, NH where he had a ball playing with other dogs seated
near us. He was very good about the whole high energy atmosphere -
he wanted to explore everywhere - he was especially cute following Linus
and Sally. On one occasion we were on our way out of the building
to take care of business, with Sally leading Schroeder then Linus, when
one of the other dogs got aggressive about our approaching him/her.
Sally growled back then kept moving; Linus saw this and sped up to walk
beside Schroeder, between him and the other dog. With Linus
next to Schroeder, the other dog didn't make a sound - I was so proud
that Linus chose to protect him. That's what a big brother should
do! He's been going to Linus and Sally's agility class to watch and will be starting puppy class this
week. He's grown so much in three weeks! He was 42lbs at the
vet's last week. ~ Bruce & Tricia

Just
wanted to let you know MooShoo has settled in nicely and had a wonderful
weekend. He has made several new friends - canine and human. Our
son loves him and hated leaving him to return to Atlanta,
but he will be back for the summer. MooShoo has redefined
"settling in" over the past couple of days as he continues to
relax to the point of melting. Wow, what a dog! Yes he is
truly a success story. I'll keep you posted. Thanks ~ Grant
