We are a non profit, 501(c)3 organization, so your donation is tax deductible.
The shelters that we rescue from have purebreds, mixes, pups and seniors that are in grave danger of being euthanized. If our Petfinder site does not currently have the dog you’re looking for, please fill out an application and specify the type of dog you would like to adopt. We will search our network of shelters to find the right match for you.

Application Requirements:
Rescue for Love reserves the right to refuse any application for any reason. Rescue for Love bases placement decisions on finding the right home for our rescues.
Rescue for Love will not consider any application that is submitted for anyone other than the primary applicant. Our rescues may not be given away as gifts or for any other reason.
Rescue for Love requires proof of residency via a mortgage or lease at the time of adoption. Mortgage must have applicants name on it. A copy of the lease is required and must contain wording regarding pets in the dwelling. Landlord must give verbal and written permission to adopt with our rescue.
All applications submitted should be done so with full knowledge of all family members and with the intent to adopt if approved. Rescue for Love requires all members of the household (including anyone renting space in the home and any animals) to meet with a Rescue for Love volunteer and the desired dog or puppy prior to adoption.
No person under the age of 22 will be allowed to adopt from Rescue for Love. Proof of age will be required.
The primary applicant must be on the lease or mortgage to apply for a dog or puppy with Rescue for Love.
A vet reference is required on this application. No application will be considered without a vet set in place to care for the adoptive dog or puppy. We will be contacting the vet reference on this application, so please make sure they are aware of this.
Should you not have a fenced yard for the dog or puppy, please understand that frequent walking and exercise is required. If you work full time and or the dog or puppy will be home alone for more than 6 hours on a daily basis, please take the time to find a dog walker or program that will assist in exercising and walking during these stretches of time.
No Rescue for Love dog or puppy is to be used for any other purpose other than an indoor family member. Dogs and puppies may not be left in yards, chained to trees, or used as guard dogs.
You must take the time to consider all aspects of responsible ownership, including training, behavior problems that can arise, future medical issues that can arise and any changes in daily activity that will occur with the addition of a new member to your household.
You must agree to and sign the contract form prior to adoption. (The software to view, save, or print Adobe Acrobat documents is available free from the Adobe website. To get a free copy of the software, please click here).
